Scary Watermelon

So here is a video that I took with our Olympus camera of the watermelon we grew, set out by our front door, but never brought in. I had been meaning to do that, but like so many other things, "just darn forgot about it"!

So as I was coming into the house (a day or two before Halloween) I noticed something that looked like drops of blood on the side walk...then glanced to the table where I saw more of the same. Then I heard a hissing noise and notice the melon...well...was alive!! (kind of!)

Let's see if this video attachment actually works! (it's very lovely and gross!)



It didn't take...I will have to figure this out later...it is really too good to miss!

Before and After

So here is the Before photo and maybe the after photo.

Actually this is the "after" photo...running on a sugar high all around the park...back and forth and all around. Should we send her home to her parents this way? ...Hell, yeah!

Ok...So I am learning here...if you post your pic from Flickr...anyone can use that link to go to your account in Flickr. But if you post from your computer...I would guess...well, duh...they can't. Is that a privacy problem...anyone going to Flickr? No more so I suppose than having public viewing on Flickr.

I am trying to send these photo's to my blog here...it will be a Before and After thing. My friend Amy and her niece Caroline had a picnic in the park this past week. Dessert was the show as Caroline decided to eat it without any hands...well...as you can guess...a two year old's face says it all! Let's see how this posting turns out!

Cheers! our latest project. We just completed this tonight. We still need the rest of the group to help with the finishing touches. Thank goodness to Eric and Charlie coming by with more corks...we could have never completed it on time!! Photo taken with my phone camera.

Yes, Last Friday night we had our Friends over to celebrate Renee's Birthday. We cranked the heater in the pool and had a fabulous evening with a Rose Moet Chandon Sparling Champagne, sauteed Crab crabs (in butter and garlic of course!), mixed greens with seasonal pears, cheese, olives and a homemade huckleberry vinegrette, followed by a pineapple/basil sorbet to cleanse the palette for the main course of grilled trout - stuffed with roasted garlic and rosemary sprigs, grilled asparagus and cauliflower, wild rice pilaf with nuts and cranberries! White and red wines for preference! Oh! And homemade chocolate chip cookies for dessert!!! Hungry yet?

Damn I can cook!!!!

so this is a fountain piece at the arboretum. Some kids came by 10- 12 yo and asked what it was...and I of course said.."what do you think it is"
???? The first kid said...."uhhhh, I don't know...." the second looked at me, then looked at it...and answered tentively...tadpoles???

Well YEAH! ...good job! (for thinking and being aware of things!)...my friend was impressed...because like the first kid...it's not on a gameboy!

So, I was able to run away for a morning with my friend Marilyn and we were able to chat and catch up on things. This was a great shot I took on Greg' little camera. Not bad, huh?

Been too long...again!

Hello and greetings from my computer.
I have completely forgotten about all of this.

Too many things going on...lots of travel and housework.
Not a bad problem to have, but there it is.

I recently had my best friend out for a girls visit...a Thelma and Louise trip if you will and here is a pic of our fishing trip in Heber Springs, Arkansas. Woo Whee that was fun!

I am back and still hanging on.

OK...How long has it been? My computer crashed 3 times and I am still trying to recover from that!

So, in the meantime, I learned how to live without a computer and went back to actually working with my hands!

I promise to get back in here and learn how to do this with better content. That is if I am not swimming!

Today is the day.

I am starting my Medifast diet today. I have 80 lbs to loose. One month at a time is my focus. So we will see how today goes!

Out of shape!

So my friend Daria is moving to a new apartment. I offered my help and car to move her items. I know what it is like to move and finding friends to help during "move" time is worse than roaches in a kitchen when the light is turned on. Why is that?

Anyhow, as out of shape as I am it was my pleasure to help a friend out. I even volunteered my husband for tomorrow for moving furniture. It might rain though and we might have to delay it.

It was a nice time to get to know Daria a bit better. We laughed, chatted, huffed and puffed, Hauled and heaved and we got quite a bit done. So, until tomorrow...and it's time for my bath! I stink!

2 times in one day!

Ok, so this seems to be working for me now. So let me start thinking of a direction to go with the content of this blog. I will check back with you tomorrow and I will try to see how to post a picture.

Well I can't get into my first account created.

After many attempts I could not access the account that I created last night. It was probably a typo on my original input for my email address (and all variations I attempted still didn't work). I never received an email confirmation to my account so that probably was a good indication that I signed up with a mis-spell.

So, hopefully I can get back to this account. Next attempt. Let's see what happens!
